The Rorschach Test is one of the most widely used and identifiable psychology assessments. The Rorschach inkblot test features in the collective imagination and is an excellent tool for professionals from all over the world. It is the most commonly used and well-known projective psychological test.
The 10 Plates comprising the test, of which five are monochrome, two are two-tone and three are multi-colored, represent the stimulus that the subject is asked to interpret. Hermann Rorschach named his work Psychodiagnostik (Psychodiagnostic), a term that over time has become synonymous not just with the Rorschach test, but with all psychological tests designed to learn about all aspects of personality organization and structure (mental organization, emotional stability, internal conflict and complexity, as well as, when necessary, the nosographic and prognostic picture of an individual).
Known and used all over the world, this tool has proved itself to be one of the most reliable, complete and dependable personality testing techniques, thanks in part to continuous and prolific studies, which have examined many of the psychometric and interpretative aspects in great depth. Originally developed in a clinical environment, Hermann Rorschach’s test has also proven itself to be invaluable in various other fields of application, from forensic medicine to forensic law, from development to guidance and selection processes.
