The Comprehensive Assessment System Examining Mental Health (CASE-MH) is an instrument created to improve the quality of diagnosis and ultimately the treatment plan for the identification of adult mental health disorders.

Age Range: 18+

Time: Approximately 35 minutes

Restricted Use: Level B-requires that the user has completed graduate levels courses in tests and measurement at a university or has received equivalent documented training.

The scales consist of 8 of the most frequently occurring mental health conditions including an in-depth evaluation of ADHD. The instrument consists of 98 scale items, 42 ADHD subscale items plus an additional 42 experimental items addressing Autism and Antisocial personality disorder.  

Scoring is user friendly and can be done rapidly due to a Yes/No response format for seven of the diagnostic scales and a Likert-like scale for ADHD.

 

Components of the Test

The CASE-MH test includes two main grouping of scales:

First group of scales are the Clinical Scales:

1.      ADHD

2.      Bipolar Disorder

3.      Depression

4.      Generalized Anxiety Disorder

5.      Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

6.      Post-traumatic Stress Disorder

7.      Social Anxiety Disorder

8.      Substance Abus

The second group of scales are the ADHD scales in which the Client endorses the 12 overall ADHD clinical items on a five-point scale.
