The Stoelting Sleep Disruptor Cage produces a stressful environment by utilizing a water tank with 12 individual columns (islands) that are just above the water (30mm in diameter), just large enough for a mouse to sit on. But when the mouse goes into REM sleep, the mouse falls into the water. This cage can be used with the ANY-maze Behavioral Tracking Software for video recording and manually scoring other types of behavior.
