The BERS-2 can identify children’s individual behavior and emotional strengths, and indicate the areas in which strengths need to be developed. Designed for use in schools, mental health clinics, juvenile justice settings and child welfare agencies, it has been widely adopted by local, state and federal agencies to evaluate the outcomes of services.

The BERS-2 is a multi-modal assessment system that measure the child’s behavior through three Rating Scale perspectives:

  1. Youth
  2. Parent
  3. Teacher

From these three perspectives, the BERS-2 measures several aspects of the child’s strength:

  • Interpersonal Strength
  • Intrapersonal Strength
  • Affective strength
  • Involvement with family
  • School functioning
  • Career Strength

The complete BERS-2 Kit includes the Manual and 50 Summary/Response Forms.
